While the Dems lobbed accusations of illegitimacy, Amy Coney Barrett was confirmed by the Senate by a simple majority vote of 52-48 and sworn in two hours later on the South Lawn of the White House by Justice Clarence Thomas.
In their righteous quest for tolerance and understanding against perceived systemic racism, the Democrats have overlooked the fact that a white woman was sworn in by a black man to the highest court in the land.
Barrett is the fifth woman to be sworn in to serve on the high court and the first with young children.
Barrett appeared calm and collected with her left hand resting on a Bible and her right hand raised in pledging her allegiance to the U.S. Constitution as she recited her oath of office.
“It is a privilege to be asked to serve my country in this office and I stand here tonight truly honored and humbled,” Barrett said.
“This is a momentous day for America, for the United States Constitution and for the fair and impartial rule of law,” President Trump said in remarks before her swearing in. “As president, I have no more solemn obligation and no greater honor than to appoint Supreme Court justices.”
But, there was no grace in the Dems’ reaction to the vote and the confirmation.
Ahead of the vote, Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) described it as “one of the darkest days in the 231-year history of the United States Senate,” as he vowed retribution against Patriots when the Dems regain power.
Sen. Chris Coons (D-DE), whose daughter has been reportedly identified in a sex video in Hunter Biden’s perverted hard drive trove, added that Barrett’s nomination would usher in an unprecedented chapter of conservatism on the high court, as Barrett’s confirmation solidifies a 6-3 conservative majority.
Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-HI) simply muttered, “Hell, no,” when she voted.

Barrett is the third Supreme Court justice appointed by President Donald Trump since he took office in 2017.
“The Constitution is the ultimate defense of American liberty. The faithful application of the law is the cornerstone of our republic. That is why as President I have no more solemn application and no greater honor than to appoint Supreme Court justices,” Trump said.
Chief Justice John Roberts will administer the judicial oath today at the Supreme Court.
In light of last week’s 4-4 SCOTUS vote upholding Pennsylvania’s state Supreme Court ruling that requires election officials to accept mail-in ballots through November 06, 2020, the liberal Left is pushing the narrative that the rush to seat Barrett was to gain a conservative majority to politicize the court in Republicans’ favor.
However, it is highly unlikely that the U.S. Supreme Court will revisit the issue this close to an election, given the appearance of impropriety. Eight out of 11 recent SCOTUS decisions on mail-in voting have been decided against the liberals in favor of conservatives. Several states are still in play where an adverse mail-in voting decision can affect the outcome of their election counts.
