America is entering a new phase of the Corona Virus pandemic, according to Dr. Deborah Birx, White House Corona Virus Taskforce Coordinator. Dr. Birx doubled down on wearing masks at home, especially those who live in multi-generational households.
“But I want to be very clear. What we’re seeing today is different from March and April. It is extraordinarily widespread. It’s into the rural as equal urban areas,” Birx said. “And to everybody who lives in a rural area, you are not immune or protected from this virus. And that’s why we keep saying, no matter where you live in America, you need to wear a mask and socially distance, do the personal hygiene pieces.”
At odds with the public and government officials, Dr. Birx’s statement comes under scrutiny as cases of Legionnaires’ disease are on the rise. Legionnaires’ disease is a bacteria that thrives in places like abandoned office buildings, schools, and hotels, as these buildings emptied out with the lockdown response to the Corona Virus. It also has a much higher death rate than the Corona Virus.

Even though the public is being told that the number of Corona Virus diagnoses is spiking, many disbelieve the numbers because of the deceitful way that states have reported them. When people are told that hospitals are overrun with patients, yet hospital parking lots and ER waiting rooms are empty, people disavow the official narrative.
Anne Clayson, associate professor in occupational hygiene and occupational health at the University of Manchester, per Medical Daily, explains that L. pneumophila ordinarily live in warm environments and feed on “pipework sludge and sediment.”
Empty buildings provide a breeding ground for such bacteria and eventually contaminate the water systems, according to Clayson.
What officials aren’t telling the public is that outbreaks of Legionnaires’ disease and Pontiac fever are occurring.
Mandatory wearing of masks have seen an uptick in upper-respiratory infections as people repeatedly inhale carbon dioxide that they’ve exhaled, lowering their oxygen levels and brain functions. But, the public hears no official warnings about this.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) estimates that the disease has a 10 percent death rate, according to Timothy Russell, PhD, a mathematical epidemiologist at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, commenting in the journal Nature.
“The death rate for Legionnaires’ is much higher than what we’ve seen so far for COVID-19, and the complications following infection can be quite debilitating,” says Dr. Amy Pruden, PhD, a professor of environmental and water resources engineering at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg. Dr. Pruden has studied how corrosive tap water in Flint, Michigan, contributed to outbreaks of Legionnaires’ disease there.
While the lockdowns have managed to slow the spread of the virus and prevent a rising death toll, the byproducts of the disease leave the public wondering if deaths from these byproducts are being reported as Corona Virus itself.
The gradual reversal of Corona Virus lockdowns and an easing of other safety measures have left some governors with no more political appetite for tyrannical measures to force compliance of an uncooperative populace with state mandates, which prove to be unconstitutional.
Whenever Legionnaires’ disease or Pontiac fever affect a populace, it is up to state and local health departments to take the lead in identifying the sources of infection and providing information to the public. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) is only involved in outbreak investigations when a health department requests additional assistance.
The damage caused by the lockdowns and wearing of masks cannot be undone and the effects will be felt by the country long after the virus has disappeared following the November election.
